We are not affiliated with any type foundry, font marketplace, or software vendor mentioned on this site. Nothing on this website should be treated as legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind.
2. No Legal or Licensing Advice
Articles about font licensing, trademarks, or any legal topic are general educational information, not legal advice.
Licensing terms vary between foundries, change over time, and depend on your specific use case (desktop, web, app, embedding, commercial vs personal). We do our best to explain licensing concepts accurately, but:
- We do not review individual licence agreements on your behalf
- We are not responsible for licensing decisions made based on our articles

We do not accept payment to feature, rank, or omit any font, foundry, or tool in our editorial content. Advertisements displayed on this site (through Google AdSense) have no influence over the content we write or the guides we choose to publish.
We link only to legitimate, original font sources — such as Google Fonts and Font Squirrel — for reader convenience, not as a paid placement.

4. Typographic History and Disputed Claims
Some claims in typography history are genuinely disputed among historians and type designers — origin stories, attribution of a design, or the reasoning behind a historical choice. Where we are aware of a dispute, we flag it in the article rather than presenting one version as settled fact.

Tools such as the Font Pairing Tool are provided "as is" for exploration and convenience.
- Preview rendering may differ between browsers, operating systems, and devices
- Suggested pairings are a starting point, not a guarantee of how a combination will look in your specific project
- Always test typography choices in your actual target environment before relying on them

Font Atlas does not host, sell, or distribute font files. Typefaces discussed on this site are the property of their respective designers and foundries, and typeface names may be registered trademarks of those foundries.
Links to font sources point to third-party websites governed by their own terms and licences. We are not responsible for the availability, pricing, or licensing terms of any font offered by a third-party site. Always verify licensing directly with the source before downloading or using a font.
7. Advertising Disclosure (Google AdSense)
Font Atlas displays advertisements through Google AdSense. These ads are served automatically by Google based on page content and, where you have consented, your browsing history.
